The film, directed by Bryce Dallas Howard and produced by Imagine Entertainment, premiered on Apple TV+ and received critical acclaim for its emotional depth and universal appeal.
My Contributions:
- Assisted in casting real-life fathers from diverse backgrounds to share their parenting experiences.
- Conducted international talent outreach and interviews to find compelling and authentic stories.
- Collaborated with the casting director and producers to ensure a diverse and impactful representation of fatherhood.
- Managed logistics for talent coordination, interviews, and scheduling during pre-production.
Outcome:
The documentary was well-received, earning praise for its heartfelt storytelling and authentic portrayal of fatherhood. It premiered at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival and later became an Apple TV+ original release.

Project Overview:
Above & Beyond is a feature-length documentary that captures the resilience and heroism of everyday people during the unprecedented challenges of 2020. From frontline workers to corporate leaders, the film—produced by Imagine Entertainment for Walmart—tells powerful, real-life stories of those who stepped up in times of crisis. It was showcased at Tribeca X 2021, an event celebrating the intersection of advertising and entertainment, highlighting branded storytelling that forges deep connections with audiences.
My Contributions:
- Served as the primary office production assistant, ensuring smooth coordination across multiple filming locations.
- Assisted in managing on-set production assistant logistics, and on-the-ground needs, particularly securing filming releases for hundreds of employees.
- Identified, contacted, and secured releases for hundreds of people that were filmed prior to releases being secured. This was particularly challenging as it was during the pandemic and I was tasked with securing releases from Native Americans in remote locations within the Navajo Nation.
- Facilitated communication between the producers and set PAs in multiple states.
Outcome:
The film premiered at Tribeca X 2021, presented by Roku, where it was recognized for its impactful storytelling and emotional depth. As a branded documentary, Above & Beyond successfully bridged corporate messaging with authentic human experiences, resonating with both critics and audiences.

- Worked closely with the casting director and production’s creative team to ensure authentic representation and storytelling.
